This agreement sets out how we expect performers, PRs, DJs and other entertainment contractors to conduct themselves when working at Scotsman Group venues. You confirm you have read and accepted it when you register on PR-DJ, and it applies to every booking you carry out through the platform.
1. Professionalism
- Arrive in good time to set up and be ready to start at the booked time, and perform for the full booked session.
- Follow the reasonable instructions of the venue's duty manager — they run the premises and their decision on the night is final.
- Tell the venue and update the booking through PR-DJ as soon as possible if you cannot make a booking.
2. Licensing and the law
- Our venues operate under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and each has its own licence conditions, noise limits and curfews. The venue will tell you what applies — you must work within them, including any sound limiter fitted.
- Nothing in your performance may break the law, including in relation to copyright-licensed material the venue is not covered for — check with the venue if unsure.
3. Alcohol and drugs
- You must not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs while performing or setting up.
- Illegal drugs on the premises will end the booking immediately, may end your access to the platform, and may be reported to the police.
4. Respect and safeguarding
- We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination or abusive behaviour towards venue staff, customers or other performers.
- Keep content and interaction appropriate to the audience — many of our venues serve families and under-18s at certain times.
- Report any safeguarding concern to the duty manager straight away.
5. Equipment and safety
- Your own equipment must be safe and in good working order; electrical equipment should be PAT tested where applicable.
- Run cables safely, don't block fire exits or escape routes, and follow the venue's fire and health & safety instructions.
- You are responsible for your own equipment — the venue is not liable for loss or damage except where caused by its negligence.
6. Bookings and payment go through PR-DJ
- All bookings, changes, cancellations and invoices for Scotsman Group venues must go through this platform — no cash arrangements or side agreements with venue staff.
- Invoice accurately: the hours, fee and description you submit are what HR and Payroll rely on to pay you.
7. Representing the venues
- Don't present yourself as an employee or representative of Scotsman Group — you are an independent contractor.
- When posting about a venue or booking on social media, keep it accurate and respectful; don't use venue or group branding in a way that suggests endorsement without permission.
8. If this agreement is breached
Depending on seriousness we may end a booking without payment for time not worked, suspend your account while we investigate, or remove you from the platform. Serious misconduct may be reported to the police or other authorities. The Terms of Engagement set out how suspension and removal work.
This is a draft. The final wording will be reviewed and approved by Scotsman Group before launch. Last updated 2026-08-31.
