These terms apply between you and Scotsman Group [LEGAL: confirm contracting entities — bookings are paid by G1 Group or Lister companies depending on venue] when you register on the PR-DJ platform and when you accept bookings to perform at our venues. You accept them when you register.
1. Your status: self-employed
- You are an independent, self-employed contractor. Nothing in these terms or on the platform creates employment, a worker relationship, an agency or a partnership.
- You are responsible for your own tax, National Insurance and (if registered) VAT, and you confirm at registration that you will declare fees to HMRC.
- There is no obligation on us to offer you bookings, and none on you to accept them.
- You may propose a suitably qualified substitute for a booking, subject to the venue's prior approval. Where a substitute performs, you remain responsible for invoicing and for the substitute's compliance with the Conduct Agreement.
2. Bookings
- Each booking accepted through PR-DJ is a separate contract for that performance, on these terms plus the fee, date, time and venue recorded on the platform.
- Fees are agreed before the booking; changes must be made through the platform, not verbally at the venue.
3. Invoicing and payment
- You invoice through the platform after the performance. Invoices pass through venue and operations approval before payment.
- Approved invoices are paid to the bank account held on your profile through our payment run.
- Individual performers are engaged gross of tax; VAT-registered businesses must register through the company route and submit VAT invoices.
- We may withhold or reclaim payment for sessions not performed, or where an invoice is inaccurate or disputed, pending resolution through the dispute process below.
4. Cancellation
- If you need to cancel, tell the venue and update the booking as early as possible. Repeated late cancellation or failure to appear may lead to suspension.
- A venue may cancel a booking; where a booking is cancelled at short notice, any payment for the cancelled session is at the venue's discretion.
5. Disputes
- Disputes about a booking or invoice are raised through the platform's dispute function and resolved by the approving manager, with HR & Payroll as the final decision-maker.
6. Conduct, insurance and equipment
- You must comply with the Conduct Agreement at every booking.
- You are responsible for your own equipment and for performing safely. Public liability insurance is strongly recommended.
7. Your account
- Keep your details accurate — payment goes to the bank account on your profile, and payroll relies on your legal name and National Insurance number.
- We may suspend your account while investigating a conduct or invoicing concern, and may remove you from the platform for material breach of these terms or the Conduct Agreement.
- You may close your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
8. Liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
- Otherwise, each party's liability to the other in connection with a booking is limited to the fee for that booking.
9. Changes and law
- If we make material changes to these terms we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in; the version you accepted is recorded.
- These terms are governed by Scots law and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
This is a draft. The final wording will be reviewed and approved by Scotsman Group's legal advisers before launch. Last updated 2026-08-31.
